- Uploaded Documents: PDF files uploaded to our platform for layout parsing and figure extraction.
- Document Metadata & SHA-256 Hashes: Unique file hashes generated client-side to verify file integrity and maintain your recent reading history.
- Technical Log Data: standard server logs including IP addresses, browser user-agent, and response timestamps to ensure platform uptime and security.
2. Cookies & Advertising (Google AdSense)
SpatialPDF uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to improve site performance and display third-party advertisements.
- Google AdSense and its advertising partners use cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on user visits to this site and other sites on the Internet.
- Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ad Settings.
- Local browser storage is utilized to save your recent file reading history locally on your device without transmitting personal identifiers.
3. How We Use Your Data
Your uploaded documents are processed exclusively to decompose dense academic and technical PDFs into decoupled layout blocks (text, figures, captions, tables). We do not monetize, sell, or rent your uploaded document contents to third parties or AI model trainers.
4. Storage & Security
Uploaded PDFs and extracted assets are stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS S3) and Supabase database infrastructure using industry-standard access control lists (ACLs) and pre-signed URL validation.
5. Your Privacy Rights
You have the right to clear your browser local storage history at any time. If you wish to request deletion of any uploaded file or associated metadata from our servers, you may contact our privacy team.
